We are open 7 days a week from 11AM – 6PM for our friends to enjoy our pastoral setting, and our award-winning wines and take some Effingham history home.  Walk-ins are always welcomed, and reservations guarantee seating. Please note, Effingham Manor is an adults only winery and guests must be 21+ years to be on property.

Because of the historic nature of our property, please leave the pets at home.
Virginia law prohibits any person from bringing any other alcohol, of any kind, onto the estate.
Charter buses and vehicles larger than a 15-passenger vehicle are not allowed on the estate.

One of Virginias great varietals.   When young, good  Cab Francs are full of cherry and flavors from the garden.  As they age, that garden becomes spicy and unique.

This wine was made in the French Sur lie style and aged 9 months in French oak barrels.

Our Premium wine. Black Cherry and Mocha flavors are present. A great wine to pair with grilled beef or seasoned pork.

On the nose: Dark fruit and Vanilla. On the Palate: Cola and sweet cherry. Its versatile flavor profile makes it able to pair with anything.

First planted in Virginia in the 90’s, Tannat is a rich, deep grape that provides elegant wines
perfect for the dinner table. 

Port must be from Porto in Portugal. Our fortified dessert wine is Snort . For this edition of Snort, we used Petit Verdot grapes, aged for 2 years in oak.  Snort is the perfect accompaniment to dessert.

The quality of the 2019 vintage allowed to make our first ever wine that stood above all.   The nose has hints of violets, black currant, blueberry and tobacco.   The palate is luscious.  This is a well balanced wine with  a soft beginning,  sweet chocolate-covered cherry mid-palate, and vanilla on the finish.

Estate grown Chambourcin is used as the base for our Rosé. At .75% residual sugar, it’s perfectly balanced with bright acidity on the finish.
