Mark fell in love with wine while traveling for work. Inspired, he went back to school, studying viticulture and oenology at Washington State University. Mark worked his first harvest at Pamplin Family Winery, a boutique winery in Oregon specializing in Bordeaux style blends.
In 2014, Mark relocated to Virginia, where he interned at the Pearmund family of wineries and The Winery at Bull Run. In 2015, he was hired as an assistant winemaker at the Pearmund locations, Pearmund Cellars, Vint Hill Craft Winery and Effingham Manor. In 2019, Mark was promoted to Executive Winemaker of all three locations.
